Reconciling stablecoin reserves from exchange CSV exports

Stablecoin reconciliation sounds dull until a trust review finds ₩8 million unaccounted for. Usually it is not missing — it is on an exchange account someone forgot to export.

File types we accept

  • Exchange CSV (Upbit, Bithumb, international venues)
  • OTC wire confirmations with USDC amounts
  • Cold-wallet attestations: photo of device screen plus handwritten tally

We do not import CSVs into proprietary software. We print, highlight, and cross-foot.

Column mapping worksheet

Each export uses different headers. We build a one-time mapping row at the top of your worksheet: “Column D = deposit USDT” so the next quarter takes ten minutes instead of ninety.

Common discrepancies

Pending withdrawals — Exchange shows sent, chain not confirmed. We note “pending” in red pencil, not erase.

Internal transfers — Moving USDC between your own accounts creates fake doubles if both sides are summed. We mark internal rows with an “I” code.

Rounding — Fiat-pegged does not mean fiat-exact on exports. We tolerate one-cent differences; larger gaps trigger a line-by-line review.

After reconciliation

You receive a signed tally sheet filed in the appendix. Attorneys love appendix sheets — they photocopy one page instead of an entire export.
